It is natural for us Filipinos to be fond of food. Especially and so many eateries can be found in every corner of this our country. Every place and province has dishes to be proud of. Every occasion we have specific dishes or foods that are cooked and prepared at our dining table. There are also times when you just hear the word Filipino food and the various dishes that can be found on our Filipino tables will immediately come to mind. Some of these dishes are Adobo, Sinigang, Nilaga, Kare-kare, Lechon and other dishes that are our favorite.
Filipino cuisine is known not only in the country but also in the world because of the delicious and overflowing flavor of Filipino cuisine. Here is a list of Filipino dishes that will satisfy you:
1.SINIGANG – A combination of various vegetables and pork or seafood with a sour broth.
2.ADOBO – The broth is salty and sour because soy and vinegar are its main ingredients.
3.SISIG – The sisig is a chopped mask, ear or face of a pig.
4.KARE -KARE -It is yellow in color because of its peanut butter and peanut butter as its main ingredients.
5.LECHON-crispy skin and tender flesh that is delicious paired with liver sauce
6.Crispy Pata – Like lechon, the skin of crispy pata is crispy and the flesh is soft and delicious.
7.Bulalo – Delicious soup with various vegetables, and beef and beef bone marrow.
8.Halo-Halo-A popular refreshment in the Philippines with a variety of ingredients.
9.SUMAN – A sticky treat that is delicious paired with latik or chocolate.
10.Puto Bumbong – A popular Christmas food. Violet color and with toppings of coconut, sugar, margarine, and cheese
1.SINIGANG

First on our Pinoy food list is porridge because almost all Filipinos, it is the favorite. When you taste it, you will frown and shudder at the sourness of the soup made by sampaloc. Pork porridge is the most popular dish here but you can also add chicken, fish, and shrimp. It also contains vegetables such as beans, spinach, okra, and eggplant.
2.ADOBO
When we say Filipino food, we immediately think of adobo. The adobo is a mixture of salt and acid. But there are others who like this dish to be sweet, depending on your taste. Common pickled meats are pork and chicken. Soy and vinegar are the main flavors of the adobo broth, while others add laureal leaf.
3.SISIG
The sisig is usually made of a chopped mask, ear or face of a pig. It is mixed with soy sauce, onion, calamansi, and eggs. It becomes even tastier when served on a sizzling plate. With this Filipino food so popular, it is available anywhere in the country. But if you want to taste authentic sisig, go to Pampanga where it came from.
4.KARE-KARE
Thick and delicious — this is how kare-kare soup can be described. It is yellow because of the peanuts and peanut butter that are the main ingredients in this Filipino dish. The most popular is the kare-kareng baka. There are others who make kare-kareng bagnet and seafood kare-kare that will really make you-oh wow you’re delicious!
5.LECHON
Lechon will not disappear from our list of Filipino dishes. The skin is crunchy and the flesh is juicy which is delicious to pair with liver sauce. In Cebu and Batangas, you can taste the best lechon in the Philippines. Anthony bourdain says, it’s the best pig ever!
6.CRISPY PATA
Whenever there is a party or a drink, crispy pata is a favorite. Like lechon, the skin of the crispy pata is crispy and the flesh is soft and delicious. The only difference between the two is the crispy pata
7.BULALO
You win the bulalo especially when the weather is cold. Bulalo is very popular among Filipinos because of the taste of the soup and its meat. The good in bulalo,because from the broth to the bone, delicious! If you want to taste the best bulalo, go to Batangas and Tagaytay.
8.HALO -HALO
When it comes to summer snacks, halo-halo comes first. Its ingredients are varied: gelatin, sago, nata, macapuno, banana, mongoose, milk and crushed ice. It is a favorite refreshment of Filipinos especially during summer.
9.SUMAN
It is said to be the first dish and one of the original Filipino dishes. Suman is often prepared for Filipino cultural celebrations such as Christmas, weddings, baptisms, birthdays and fiestas! When you taste it, especially if paired with latik or sugar, it really comes back and forth. So it is not surprising that it is also a favorite snack of Filipinos.
10.PUTO BUMBONG
One of the most popular Christmas foods is puto bumbong. Violet color and also made of rice flour. Common toppings put here are coconut, sugar, cheese, and margarine. The puto bumbong is best-paired with hot tea, ideal for cold weather. It is very popular at church nights.
